Hola, my name is Karina Padilla
a graphic artist made in Caracas, based in Cleveland
Karina Padilla is a Northeast Ohio-based bilingual copy writer/graphic designer, born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. Over a decade ago, she ditched the warm weather and relocated to the Cleveland area: the land of Lake Effects, hardcore sports fans, and Iron Chefs.
In Venezuela, she used to work as a journalist for a variety of news organizations; in the newsroom, she learned how to tell and deliver people’s stories, and also developed a passion for layouts, photographs, typography, colours, and all the graphic elements used to enrich a story.
When she moved to the United States, she decided to learn a new language and give graphic design a chance. As a graphic artist, Karina has showcased her talents in local companies and non-profit organizations such as American Greetings, TCP Inc., Lakewood Early Childhood PTA, Coffee for a Cause, Firedragon and Retail Consulting, among others.
One of Karina’s many goals is to meld education and experience to create, develop, and deliver strong, one of a kind, design products for companies and individuals. She really enjoys exploring the balance between functionality and aesthetics, and loves to see people’s expressions when they get the final product and say: “Wow!” That’s priceless.
